Pacific Free Clinic

Stanford's Pacific Free Clinic (PFC) provides free, transitional healthcare to individuals who are uninsured or do not have financial access to quality healthcare.
Throughout my freshman and sophomore years, I served as a Spanish interpreter at the clinic. In this capacity, while facilitating communication between patients and providers, I gained shadowing experience and understanding of clinic flow.
Since my junior year, I have been serving as a pre-clinician. I conduct interviews with patients, note down their medical history, and advocate patient needs and concerns to physicians. Additionally, I am now on PFC's Quality Improvement Team and have been working to develop a Patient Satisfaction Survey to be administered at the clinic. You can read more about our project here.
